DRUG NAME: LEVITRAŽ

WHAT IS LEVITRA MEDICINE?
Levitra prescription medication is taken by mouth for treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men. It may help a man with ED get and keep an erection when he is sensually excited. Levitra drug is intended only for men with ED. LEVITRA IS NOT for women or children. It must be used only under a doctors care.

HOW DOES THIS DRUG WORK?
When a man is sensually stimulated, his bodys normal physical response is to increase penis blood flow. This results in creating erection. Levitra medicine helps increase blood flow to the penis. Levitra medication helps men with ED to get and keep an erection satisfactory for love making activity. Once a man has completed this activity, blood flow to his penis decreases, thus his erection goes away.

WHO CAN TAKE LEVITRA MEDICATION?
Levitra medicine has proven to be effective in men over the age of 18 years who have erectile dysfunction, including men with diabetes, or those who have undergone prostatectomy.

WHO SHOULD NOT TAKE LEVITRA DRUG ?

  • Anyone who is taking nitrates, or medication containing nitroglycerine.
  • Ask your doctor, or pharmacist, if not sure whether medicine contains nitrate.
  • Anyone taking "alpha-blockers", prescribed for prostate or high blood pressure problems.
  • Patients who've been told to avoid sensual activity because of health problems.
  • Anyone with a pre-existing heart disease, or someone weak due to a heart attack.

HOW SHOULD I TAKE LEVITRA?
Take prescription medicine exactly as prescribed. Levitra drug comes in different dosages (2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, or 20 mg). For most men, recommended starting dose is 10 mg. Take levitra medication no more than once a day. Levitra drug doses should be taken at least 24 hours apart. Some men can only take a low dose because of medical conditions, or medicines presently consumed. Our online physician will prescribe a dosage that is right for you.

CAN OTHER MEDICATIONS AFFECT LEVITRA MEDICINE?
Tell the doctor about ALL the medicine you take including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, or herbal supplements. TAKING OTHER medicines may affect each medication. Always check with a doctor before starting or stopping any medications. Tell the doctor about any medications you are taking that treat abnormal heartbeat.

If older than 65, or experiencing liver problems, our physician may prescribe a lower dosage.

If taking certain medications, you may be prescribed a lower starting dosage, limited to one tablet in a 72-hour (3 days) period.

Ingest 1 tablet about 1 hour (60 minutes) before sexual activity. Some form of erotic stimulation is needed for an erection to occur. This pill may be taken with or without meals.

Do not change levitra pill dosage without first talking to a doctor. He may lower, or raise your dosage, depending on how ones body reacts to it. If you take too much levitra medicine, call a physician or visit an emergency room right away.

WHAT SHOULD I DISCUSS WITH A DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING LEVITRA MEDICATION?
TELL the physician about all medical problems, especially if experiencing heart problems such as angina, heart failure, irregular heartbeats, or have had a heart attack. Ask the physician if it is safe to excercise sexual activity.

ASK about your blood pressure, or high blood pressure, that is not controlled.

ADVISE the physician if you have had a stroke, or if any family members have a rare heart condition known as prolongation of the QT interval (long QT syndrome).

TELL about any liver problem, or kidney problems requiring dialysis, OR if having retinitis pigmentosa, a rare genetic (runs in families) eye disease.

ADVISE the doctor of stomach ulcers, a bleeding problem, a deformed penis shape or Peyronie's disease, OR IF YOU HAVE had erection that lasted more than 4 hours, OR blood cell problems such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia.

What are possible side effects?
Most common side effects are headache, flushing, stuffy or runny nose, indigestion, upset stomach, or dizziness. These side effects usually go away after a few hours. Call physician if having a side effect that troubles you, or one that persists.

Levitra may uncommonly cause an erection that will not go away (priapism). If the erection lasts longer than 4 hours, get medical help right away. Priapism must be treated as soon as possible or lasting damage can happen to your penis, including an inability to have erections. It may also cause vision changes, such as seeing a blue tinge to objects, or having difficulty discerning a difference between blue or green colors.
